National Hype Day is underway.
Miami may have missed out on all-world local recruit Matthew Thomas of Booker T Washington (Florida State), but Al Golden and crew certainly were all smiles late Wednesday morning.
Northeast receiver Stacy Coley tossed on his Miami “Swag” hat, ending months of speculation surrounding his collegiate future. Regarded as the #3 receiver in the nation by ESPN, Coley is an impact athlete on the outside who could make an early contribution in Coral Gables.
Explosive, agile, with the ability to attack the football in the air, Coley has the natural skills you want in a receiver. His 6’1″ frame has room for more weight and once that happens, the defense should run and hide. Can he have a Duke Johnson type of impact in year one? Much of that depends on how hard he wants it this summer.
