Notes

  • Kenny Hasbrouck and Shavlik Randolph have both signed conditional contracts dicated on whether or not they make the team
  • The Heat can only have 15 players on the roster during the season.
  • Who will fill the last spot? They could sign another veteran such as Jason Williams, Tracy McGrady or Jerry Stackhouse. The more likely scenario, however, is to use the last slot on a young player like Hasbrouck, Randolph, or rookie Jarvis Varnado. There are only so many minutes to go around and keeping a veteran on that’s used to big minutes like McGrady could be volatile to the team’s chemistry. Signing a young, hungry player would probably be a better fit.
